1962年2月出生于中国辽宁省大连金县。
Born in February 1962 in Jin County, Dalian, Liaoning Province, China.
1966年全家随地质队工作的父亲搬迁到辽宁省朝阳市。
In 1966, moved with family to Chaoyang, Liaoning Province, where his father worked in a geological team.
1969年就读于朝阳市九年制学校——红卫中学。在父亲王悦赓指导下学习绘画。
In 1969, enrolled in Chaoyang's Hongwei Middle School and began learning painting under the guidance of his father, Wang Yuegeng.
1974年加入学校美术班，跟随陈升老师学习国画、书法、连环画、年画、素描。多次深入农村为农民搞教育展览，并为供销社、废品收购站和食堂创作招牌绘画。
In 1974, joined the school’s art class, studying traditional Chinese painting, calligraphy, comics, New Year paintings, and sketching under teacher Chen Sheng. Participated in educational exhibitions in rural areas and created signage paintings for local cooperatives, recycling stations, and canteens.
1975年与鲁迅美术学院的许勇、顾莲塘、扬建友等老师合作创作《朝阳农学院》组画，结识许勇老师。
In 1975, collaborated with Xu Yong, Gu Liantang, and Yang Jianyou from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts on a series of paintings titled "Chaoyang Agricultural College," and became acquainted with Xu Yong.
1976年跟随《朝阳日报》的游克源老师、张力老师、朝阳印刷厂王世满老师学习素描与色彩。跟随朝阳群众艺术馆孙介凡学习中国画、水彩画。
In 1976, studied sketching and color with teachers You Keyuan and Zhang Li from *Chaoyang Daily*, and Wang Shiman from Chaoyang Printing Factory. Also studied Chinese painting and watercolor under Sun Jiefan at the Chaoyang Mass Art Center.
1978年由陈升老师带领，赴赤峰参加鲁迅美术学院附中“文革”后首次招生考试，顺利考入。
In 1978, took part in the first post-Cultural Revolution entrance examination for the Affiliated High School of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in Chifeng and was successfully admitted.
1981年附中毕业，考入鲁迅美术学院中国画系。
In 1981, graduated from the affiliated high school and was admitted to the Chinese Painting Department of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts.
1983年赴内蒙古西乌珠穆沁旗、东乌珠穆沁旗写生牧民生活。
In 1983, traveled to Xiwuzhumuqin and Dongwuzhumuqin in Inner Mongolia to paint scenes of nomadic life.
1984年创作《蒙古族母亲》，参加1985年北京中国美术馆“国际青年美展”，获三等奖。
In 1984, created “Mongolian Mother”, which was awarded Third Prize at the 1985 "International Youth Art Exhibition" held at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing.
1985年鲁迅美术学院中国画系本科毕业，留校任教于油画系，教学素描、创作和中国画。同年带学生赴锡林郭勒盟进行为期一个月的写生创作。
In 1985, graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chinese painting from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts and stayed to teach in the oil painting department, instructing in sketching, composition, and Chinese painting. That same year, led students on a one-month painting trip to Xilin Gol League.
1986年于鲁迅美术学院展厅举办“青年教师六人展”。在《美苑》发表作品与文章“玄想与说明”。于山东淄博烧陶。带学生赴丹东大洼乡写生创作，为期一个月。
In 1986, participated in the "Six Young Teachers' Exhibition" at Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. Published the article "Mystical Reflections and Interpretations" in *Meiyuan* magazine. Practiced pottery in Zibo, Shandong, and led students on a one-month painting trip to Dawa Township, Dandong.
1987年赴陕西、湖南、四川、广西、云南、海南等地旅行，历时4个月，画了大量速写。考察云南沧源岩画。旅行期间结识丹麦人Greger、Bo和Ellen。
In 1987, traveled for four months through Shaanxi, Hunan, Sichuan, Guangxi, Yunnan, and Hainan, producing a large number of sketches. Studied the Cangyuan rock paintings in Yunnan and met Danish friends Greger, Bo, and Ellen during the journey.
1988年受丹麦朋友之邀，从二连浩特出境，经蒙古、苏联、南斯拉夫、波兰、东德、西德，最后抵达丹麦哥本哈根。结识丹麦艺术家Vincent Flemming，之后成为挚友。与丹麦艺术家Milton在哥本哈根Radmandsgade学生中心绘制壁画。与“Syntes”艺术家团体在挪威、瑞典、丹麦举办巡回展。于瑞典赫尔辛堡Lanvinkel画廊首次举办个展。
In 1988, invited by Danish friends, he exited China from Erlian and traveled through Mongolia, the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Poland, East Germany, and West Germany, ultimately arriving in Copenhagen, Denmark. There he met Danish artist Vincent Flemming, who became a close friend. Collaborated with artist Milton to paint a mural at Radmandsgade Student Center in Copenhagen. Joined the “Syntes” artist group in a traveling exhibition across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Held his first solo exhibition at Lanvinkel Gallery in Helsingborg, Sweden.
1989年在希腊、埃及写生并艺术考察4个月。同年移居瑞典赫尔辛堡市。
In 1989, conducted plein air painting and artistic research in Greece and Egypt for four months. Later that year, he relocated to Helsingborg, Sweden.
1990年与瑞典公主克丽丝堤娜·波拿多特在斯德哥尔摩音乐厅参加“国际红十字”活动。
In 1990, participated in an International Red Cross event at the Stockholm Concert Hall with Swedish Princess Christina Bernadotte.
1991年搬迁至瑞典莫拉谱镇，获得Morarp学校壁画创作竞标并获瑞典媒体关注。参加斯德哥尔摩Liljevalchs春季沙龙展。毕业于瑞典马尔默版画学院。
In 1991, moved to Morarp, Sweden, won a public competition to create a mural for Morarp School, which gained media attention. Participated in the Liljevalchs Spring Salon in Stockholm. Graduated from the Malmö Printmaking School in Sweden.
1992年在瑞典Vinslov的Hedberg画廊举办个展。同年深入游历意大利。
In 1992, held a solo exhibition at Hedberg Gallery in Vinslöv, Sweden. Traveled extensively through Italy the same year.
1993年加入瑞典国籍，完成马尔默版画学院学业。参加意大利湿壁画研修班及斯德哥尔摩Liljevalchs春季沙龙展。为赫尔辛堡交通中心创作大型壁画，在ABF教育中心创办Morarp青年艺术学校。
In 1993, acquired Swedish citizenship and completed his studies at Malmö Printmaking School. Participated in a fresco workshop in Borlänge and the Liljevalchs Spring Salon. Created a large mural for the Helsingborg Transportation Center and established the Morarp Youth Art School at the ABF Education Center in Helsingborg.
1994年搬至赫尔辛堡，并游历捷克布拉格。
In 1994, relocated to Helsingborg and traveled to Prague, Czech Republic.
1995年接受瑞典电台采访，谈论艺术与中国。任瑞士JOMED医疗器械公司艺术总监，设计系列广告宣传画。
In 1995, interviewed by Swedish Radio to discuss art and China. Became art director for JOMED, a Swiss medical device company, designing a series of promotional artworks.
1996年在赫尔辛堡市政府支持下成立“中国之家”工作室，策划画展、音乐沙龙及艺术教育活动。
In 1996, founded the "House of China" studio with support from the Helsingborg municipal government, organizing exhibitions, music salons, and art education programs.
1997年创立瑞典－中国文化联谊会并任主席（至2000年）。与赫尔辛堡市市长率团访问中国北京、西安、沈阳，筹备“中国周”文化节。
In 1997, founded the Sweden–China Cultural Association and served as its chairman until 2000. Accompanied the mayor of Helsingborg to Beijing, Xi'an, and Shenyang to prepare for the "China Week" cultural festival.
1998年担任瑞典国际艺术家协会（IKIS）主席（至2003年）。策划瑞典赫尔辛堡“中国周”大型文化节，涵盖艺术展、武术、皮影、京剧、中医、服装、民乐及文化讲座。王彤作品《兵马俑》用于宣传招贴。
In 1998, became chairman of the Swedish International Artists Association (IKIS) until 2003. Co-organized the large-scale "China Week" festival in Helsingborg featuring Chinese contemporary art, martial arts, shadow puppetry, Peking opera, traditional medicine, fashion, folk music, and cultural lectures. His artwork *Terracotta Warriors* was used in promotional posters.
1999年在瑞典索菲罗城堡美术馆举办个展，王子Bernadotte与市长主持开幕。作品《安妮的诺言》被瑞典公主Kristine收藏。为玛利亚教堂绘制肖像画永久收藏，并接受赫尔辛堡电视台为期10周专题报道。
In 1999, held a solo exhibition at Sofiero Castle Art Museum in Helsingborg, with Prince Bernadotte and the mayor presiding over the opening. His painting *Annie’s Promise* was collected by Princess Kristine. Created a portrait for Maria Church, now part of its permanent collection. Featured in a 10-week series of televised interviews and live painting sessions by Helsingborg TV.
2000年赴美国纽约、波士顿旅行交流。

2002年在瑞典Drakabygget美术馆与丹麦赫尔辛哥Jensen画廊举办个展。策划内蒙古大学艺术学院作品展于丹麦皇家美术学院，并促成双方成为友好院校。受聘为内蒙古大学艺术学院客座教授。同年任《幻想艺术》杂志艺术栏目主笔。
In 2002, held solo exhibitions at Drakabygget Art Museum in Sweden and Jensen Gallery in Helsingør, Denmark. Curated an exhibition of Inner Mongolia University’s art faculty at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and helped establish an academic partnership. Appointed as visiting professor at the Art School of Inner Mongolia University. That same year, served as art editor for *Fantasy Art* magazine.
2004年应厦门大学艺术学院副院长张立平邀请，前往厦门大学讲学，并在学院美术馆举办个展。
In 2004, invited by Professor Zhang Liping, Vice Dean of the Art College of Xiamen University, to give lectures and hold a solo exhibition at the university’s art museum.
2005年在厦门设立工作室。参加武夷山写生活动与第三届上海春季艺术沙龙。出版画册《Tong Wang》。在瑞典索菲罗城堡举办“中秋民俗文化节”，展出厦门中秋文化及闽南茶艺、书画等内容。作品《火山下》被丹麦嘉士伯基金会收藏。
In 2005, established a studio in Xiamen. Participated in a plein air painting trip to Wuyi Mountain and the 3rd Shanghai Spring Art Salon. Published his art album *Tong Wang*. Co-organized the “Mid-Autumn Folk Culture Festival” at Sofiero Castle in Sweden, presenting Xiamen Mid-Autumn customs, Southern Fujian tea culture, and Chinese calligraphy and painting. His painting *Under the Volcano* was acquired by the Carlsberg Foundation in Denmark.
2006年开始北京、厦门、瑞典三地工作生活。参加上海春季艺术沙龙展、广州顺德写生活动及“北欧当代艺术展”于丹东鸭绿江美术馆，并与丹麦艺术家文森特在厦门集美大学、内蒙古大学艺术学院举行讲座。
In 2006, began living and working between Beijing, Xiamen, and Sweden. Participated in the Shanghai Spring Art Salon, a plein air program in Shunde, Guangdong, and the “Contemporary Nordic Art Exhibition” at Yalu River Art Museum in Dandong. Delivered lectures with Danish artist Vincent at Jimei University in Xiamen and the Art College of Inner Mongolia University.
2007年在北京大学、湖北美术学院、丹麦皇家美术学院讲座与授课。于哥本哈根玻璃工作室创作玻璃画。参加第二届北欧当代艺术展并接受中央美术学院专访。在上海三尚艺术馆举办个展并出版画册《王彤画与话》。
In 2007, gave lectures at Peking University, Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Created glass artworks in a Copenhagen studio. Participated in the 2nd Nordic Contemporary Art Exhibition and was interviewed by the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Held a solo exhibition at Sanshang Art Gallery in Shanghai and published the catalogue *Wang Tong: Paintings and Dialogues*.
2008年加入丹麦康纳美术家协会并参加年度展。于大连青铜厂与学生合作制作青铜雕塑《欧瑞森女神》。策划“瑞典中国蓝文化节”。参加“宋庄文化节”并绘制壁画《北极冰》。策划“第三届北欧当代艺术展”于丹东。
In 2008, joined the Danish Corner Artists Association and participated in its annual exhibition. Collaborated with students at a bronze foundry in Dalian to create the bronze sculpture *Goddess of Øresund*. Co-organized the “China Blue Cultural Festival” in Malmö, Sweden. Painted the mural *Arctic Ice* at the Songzhuang Cultural Festival in Beijing and co-curated the 3rd Nordic Contemporary Art Exhibition in Dandong.
2009年在北京建立新工作室，参加康纳美术家协会年度展并绘制壁画于丹麦Sophienholm庄园。策划“康纳与丹麦皇家美术学院于呼和浩特”展览，青铜雕塑《欧瑞森女神》安置于内蒙古大学艺术学院。
In 2009, established a new studio in Beijing, participated in the Corner Artists Association annual exhibition, and contributed to a mural at Sophienholm Estate in Denmark. Co-organized the exhibition *Corner and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Hohhot*, where the bronze sculpture *Goddess of Øresund* was installed at the Inner Mongolia University Art College.
2010年在厦门五缘湾设立新工作室，并在瑞典Rydsgard购置住所与工作室。参与策划“FACE面孔”中国当代绘画展及瑞典中国蓝系列活动。
In 2010, established a new studio in Wuyuan Bay, Xiamen, and acquired a home and studio in Rydsgård, Sweden. Helped organize *FACE – Chinese Contemporary Painting Exhibition* and the “China Blue” cultural activities in Sweden.
2011年参加康纳年度展，并策划“丹麦·漳州当代美术作品联展”。推动厦门大学与丹麦、瑞典高校艺术交流，成立“瑞典-中国文化交流中心”于瑞典Rydsgård。
In 2011, participated in the Corner annual exhibition and co-organized the *Danish–Zhangzhou Contemporary Art Exhibition*. Promoted art exchanges between Xiamen University and Nordic institutions and established the “Sweden-China Cultural Exchange Center” in Rydsgård, Sweden.
2012年在丹麦西克堡艺术中心举办中丹艺术家联展并讲座。于厦门大学策划丹麦皇家美术学院师生展，并举办个展《王彤走西口》。参加“仁者乐山，智者乐水”中国艺术家丹麦展及中瑞多场文化交流活动。
In 2012, co-organized and participated in a Sino-Danish joint exhibition at Silkeborg Art Center in Denmark and gave a lecture. Curated an exhibition of Royal Danish Academy students and teachers at Xiamen University and held his solo exhibition *Wang Tong: Journey West*. Participated in the Chinese artists’ exhibition *The Wise Enjoy Waters, the Benevolent Enjoy Mountains* in Denmark and several Sino-Swedish cultural exchange events.
2013年出任丹麦皇家美术学院对外文化交流负责人。于丹麦、杭州、北京、瑞典等地举办个展及讲座，出版画册《言左画右》并受邀赴美国肯塔基大学讲学。
In 2013, appointed head of international cultural exchange at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Held solo exhibitions and lectures in Denmark, Hangzhou, Beijing, and Sweden. Published the art book *Words on the Left, Paintings on the Right* and was invited to lecture at the University of Kentucky in the United States.
2014年在丹麦Marie Kirkegaard画廊举办“10°春天”个展，于瑞典Smygehuk举办“七月月光”个展，参与中瑞文化交流讲座与展览。
In 2014, held the solo exhibition *10° Spring* at Marie Kirkegaard Gallery in Denmark and *Moonlight in July* in Smygehuk, Sweden. Participated in several lectures and exhibitions promoting Sino-Swedish cultural exchange.
2015年参与“第一届艺术厦门”展览并策划北欧国际视觉艺术工作室。于泉州承天寺创作壁画。参加齐白石国际文化艺术节展览并受瑞典Skurup市报专访。
In 2015, participated in the 1st Art Xiamen Fair and initiated the Nordic International Visual Arts Studio. Created a mural at Cheng Tian Temple in Quanzhou. Participated in the Qi Baishi International Art Festival and was interviewed by the local press in Skurup, Sweden.
2016年策划并参与多项北欧艺术交流展，启动北欧工作室学生赴丹麦皇家美术学院游学计划。作品展出于厦门、北京、瑞典、内蒙古、广州等地。
In 2016, curated and participated in various Nordic art exchange exhibitions and launched a study program for students from the Nordic studio to the Royal Danish Academy. Exhibited works in Xiamen, Beijing, Sweden, Inner Mongolia, and Guangzhou.
2017年于厦门、德国、南京、北京等地举办个展与联展，参与“瑞典文化年·中瑞艺术交流展”及“新足迹·中瑞当代海丝艺术展”。
In 2017, held solo and group exhibitions in Xiamen, Germany, Nanjing, and Beijing. Participated in the “Swedish Culture Year: Sino-Swedish Art Exchange Exhibition” and *New Footprints: Contemporary Maritime Silk Road Art Exhibition*.
2018年在台北、泉州、厦门、丹麦、瑞典等地展出并策展，参加“时空乐道”四国联展，推动文化交流项目《海之光》于中瑞两地举办。
In 2018, exhibited and curated shows in Taipei, Quanzhou, Xiamen, Denmark, and Sweden. Participated in the four-country exhibition *Playful Dialogue in Time and Space* and organized the cross-cultural exchange program *Light of the Sea* in China and Sweden.
2019年在北京、深圳、海南、泉州等地讲座与展览，参加“反观写意”水墨展及“出离与融合”双个展。
In 2019, gave lectures and exhibited in Beijing, Shenzhen, Hainan, and Quanzhou. Participated in the ink art exhibition *Reflections on Freehand Brushwork* and the dual solo exhibition *Departure and Integration*.
2020年策划“寻迹北欧”微课堂、瑞典写生活动及“0界”线上展，参与“蓝色梦想2020”国际艺术展。
In 2020, launched the online course *Tracing the Nordic*, organized outdoor painting activities in Sweden, co-curated the virtual exhibition *Zero Boundary*, and joined the international art exhibition *Blue Dreams 2020*.
2021年进行线上分享，赴挪威举办中国文化讲座，于丹麦、瑞典组织青少年海洋艺术创作。
In 2021, gave online lectures, hosted a talk on Chinese culture in Norway, and led marine art workshops for youth in Denmark and Sweden.
2022年于希腊、泰国、瑞典、意大利、德国举办展览讲座及驻地项目，个展《水的衣裳》于丹麦Farum Kultuehus展出。
In 2022, conducted exhibitions, lectures, and residencies in Greece, Thailand, Sweden, Italy, and Germany. Held the solo exhibition *Clothes of the Water* at Farum Kulturhus, Denmark.
2023年于丹麦、瑞典、福州、北京等地举办展览与讲座，个展《未知的日常》在北京航空航天大学开展，参加“蓝色梦想2023”国际当代艺术展。
In 2023, held exhibitions and lectures in Denmark, Sweden, Fuzhou, and Beijing. Conducted the solo exhibition *The Unknown Everyday* at Beihang University and participated in *Blue Dreams 2023* International Contemporary Art Exhibition.
2024年个展《阳光之路》于泰国曼谷吞武里大学BTU Gallery举办，参与瑞典、意大利艺术家联展与驻地项目，并在Hässleholm启动“风景画课程”。
In 2024, held the solo exhibition *The Sunny Road* at BTU Gallery, Bangkokthonburi University, Thailand. Participated in group exhibitions and residency projects in Sweden and Italy, and launched a landscape painting course in Hässleholm.
